We wrote these to actually be read. No legalese wall of text. Plain language first, full details below.

Short version: we don't sell your data, we don't spam you, and you can leave anytime. That's the whole deal.

Privacy Policy

Plain language We collect only what we need to make the product work. We don't sell it. We don't share it with advertisers. We store it securely and you can delete it anytime.

What We Collect

When you use NextShift, we collect information necessary to provide the service:

  • Account information: your name and email address when you sign up.
  • Resume content: the work experience you enter into the Resume Translator — this is processed to generate your translated resume and is not stored permanently beyond your session unless you explicitly save it.
  • Application tracking data: job listings, status updates, and notes you add to your tracker.
  • Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
  • Usage data: basic analytics on how the product is used (pages visited, features used) to help us improve — no personal identifiers attached.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the NextShift service.
  • Send you product updates and account notifications (you can unsubscribe anytime).
  • Respond to your support requests.
  • Understand how people use the product so we can make it better.

We do not use your resume content or job application data to train AI models without your explicit permission.

What We Don't Do

  • Sell your personal data to anyone, ever.
  • Share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
  • Send you marketing emails from third parties.
  • Use your resume content to build profiles sold to employers.
  • Retain your data after you delete your account (within 30 days of deletion).

Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you at any time. Email hello [at] nextshift [dot] co with the subject line "Data Request" and we'll respond within 7 business days.

If you're in the EU or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively. We honor those rights regardless of where you're located.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies — only what's needed to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We don't use tracking cookies for advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not work correctly.

Terms of Service

Plain language Use NextShift for its intended purpose — helping you find remote work. Don't abuse it, don't try to resell it, and be honest with us. We'll do the same with you.

Using NextShift

By creating an account, you agree to use NextShift only for its intended purpose: helping you research, prepare for, and track applications to remote employment opportunities.

You agree not to:

  • Use NextShift to scrape or bulk-download job listings for other purposes.
  • Share your account credentials with others or resell access.
  • Use the Resume Translator to create fraudulent or misleading resumes.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or reproduce NextShift's core features.
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

Payments & Billing

NextShift is a subscription service billed monthly. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.

  • Founding member rate ($29/month): locked for the lifetime of your account, regardless of future price increases, as long as your subscription remains active.
  • Standard rate ($49/month): subject to change with 30 days notice.
  • Cancellation: you can cancel at any time from your account settings. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial months, but we won't charge you again after you cancel.
  • Failed payments: if a payment fails, we'll notify you and give you 7 days to update your payment method before access is suspended.

Your Content

The resume content, job applications, and notes you enter into NextShift remain yours. You grant NextShift a limited license to process and store that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

We will never claim ownership of your resume, sell it, or share it with employers without your explicit action.

Limitations of Service

NextShift is a tool — not a guarantee. We can translate your resume and surface relevant jobs, but we can't guarantee you'll get hired. Job outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

The Resume Translator uses AI to rewrite your experience. We strongly recommend reviewing the output before submitting anywhere — AI can make mistakes, and you know your experience better than any algorithm.

Job listings are sourced from third-party boards and filtered by our criteria. We can't guarantee every listing is current, accurate, or truly degree-requirement-free — we do our best, but verify listings directly before applying.

NextShift is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise 100% uptime or that every feature will work perfectly at all times. If something breaks, email us and we'll fix it.
